History will Write the Story of Neville Alexander

The Steve Biko Foundation (SBF) expresses its sincere condolences to the family of Professor Neville Alexander, our friend and colleague .

Professor Alexander’s contribution and commitment to the struggle for South Africa’s liberation and development will be forever remembered. His example of true activism and dedication to the struggle of oppressed people will live on because he, like Steve Biko and many others, availed himself to history to work through him. As he stated only a year ago, “This work is not about lamenting, complaining and condemning. It is about empowering, doing things ourselves, and taking charge of our own lives.”

Together with the nation, SBF mourns Professor Alexander’s loss. May his legacy live on.
